Yup! But see the positive side: you’ve finally arrived in 2018. It sucks
It’s a bummer how a few multiplayer games suck up all of the air in the room
Titanfall 2 was robbed
Totally wish I could have played titanfall 2
I’ve gone back to Faxanadu after… jeez, almost thirty years…
*ponders the passage of time and the meaning of existence for a while
…anyways, I’ve gotten past where I got stuck an eternity ago as I didn’t know that a random NPC would give you an item if you went back to talk to them after following the tip they had given you earlier. I then made good progress until I ended up someplace where I was assaulted by invisible enemies that I had no way or surviving.
One googling later and it turns out there were no invisible enemies and it was just another enemy being able to cast magic without an animation that hurts you wherever you are on the screen, and you need to bring along enough healing potions to brute force your way through.
You have arrived at the conclusion
Pipe Push Paradise added an extra set of post-ending puzzles, prompting me to finally finish up the last few pre-ending puzzles in area 5. Was stuck on Like Clockwork for ages, and eventually found the rather simple solution. Gap Ridge needed some planning and then tricky putting-the-plan-into-action. Martyrs I avoided for a while since it looked hard, but is pretty constrained and straightforward.
Great, now I’m stuck on the final puzzle (before the post-game). I did all the magnetic puzzles as soon as I unlocked them when I started playing, so… I’ve forgotten how that mechanism is supposed to work.
figures the bulgarian hacker guy busting denuvo open would get arrested right before yakuza 0 pc came out
Tempted to make a Yakuza 0 Equipment Acquisition video for this
The agent ran into some burly tough men!
…But they were successfully bribed.
Some fanboys asked for a crack!
…They were cops!
The mission was a total bust!
it’s cheap & unequivocally worth it at least
but still RIP Voksi
Faxanadu update: I found out today that there is a bugged item in the game that rather than permanently increase your attack power permanently lowers it.
I found out what it was right after I had picked up said item.
Here begins Faxanadu: Hard mode~
After this you should play the original version. It’s way different, from my understanding
When I was 6-10 my family lived in Noblesville, IN. My older sister worked at the mom and pop video rental shop a mile or two down the street, and as her first of kin we were allowed free game/tape rentals (one (1) at a time). They had a Faxanadu cart and we checked it out a couple times. Only a couple because even as uneducated rubes we could tell that that game is bullshit.
It is less that the game itself is bullshit and more that it from time to time steps in bullshit. The password system is bad, how progress is gated is occasionally cryptic even by the standards of the day, they coded entire items wrong, you start the game with no weapon and going right like every game of the time leads you to an enemy you can’t harm…
…okay it is a bit bullshit. Still when it isn’t doing things like this it is an alright action rpg with some ideas which were fresh at the time.
Street Fighter 4 3DS
Has autoblocking
Yeah
i played a little Enter the Gungeon and it reminded me that i actually really enjoyed Kenta Cho’s bullet hell games. what’s good in bullet hell these days
Both Marina and I have been playing a bit of Holedown lately. Recommended if you’re looking for a cell phone time waster you can just buy. It has a nice upgrade purchase curve and then plops you out in a difficult endless mode, good purchase all around.
No, it’s beautiful, with some of the best color palettes and moodiness on the NES. It’s got some Japanese PC game obtuseness but cleaned up compared to most PC ports on the Famicom.
Faxanadu introduced me to the word-concepts of mantra and world tree.
It remains in a particular corridor of dim, distantly mysterious NES memories. From little more than a couple brief play sessions. Like Legacy of the Wizard and Milon’s Secret Castle, and Magic of Scheherazade except I did binge through that at some point.
Porn parodies I played today
Then I’ll add
