Games You Played Today Oratorio Tangram

Based on the steam forums the EU IV demo seems to appear and disappear almost at random. There are rumors that it only appears during sales, so it might be worth keeping that in mind. Others say that if you refresh the page enough times or put it into then out of your cart it may reappear, although neither worked for me.

More importantly is the fact that the demo is bad. It doesn’t really teach you how to play, is buggy as hell and is based off the original version of the game which has been altered several times by now.

I got urge to play Red Alert 2 and build up a bunch of infantry and turrets and walls. I was disappointed when I remembered that you can only build near your base in this game :slightly_frowning_face:

Anyway in light of that disappointment I went looking around and I found this writeup that rules https://www.pcgamer.com/the-forgotten-joys-of-turtling-in-strategy-games/

reminds me when I was younger and the first Red Alert was the only strategy game I had ever played. in skirmish matches I used to destroy the enemy base but kept their last barracks alive and walled it off so I could construct buildings in peace on the rest of the map.

Sen’s Fortress and Anor Londo were both no problem (except the big demon dudes downstairs in Sen’s). It’s every area since that’s given me trouble. One day I’ll finally beat that giant golem on that invisible bridge and start making progress again.

Turns out Devil May Cry 2 remains…a bad game!!

I should really start Racing Lagoon already.

one of my favorite turtling memories was playing starcraft 1 big game hunters with a buddy. when one of us would start losing we’d be like “dude, come over here” and we’d split minerals on one base. and of course we’d get rolled because other duos would have like 7. it was good times, it rarely got any better

Continuing Rudie just replaying stuff FULL THROTTLE!! Yeaahhhhhhhh.

The game is still good. There was only one sort of bullshity pixel hunting bit (hose). 90% of the puzzles still have refreshingly good solutions especially coming off Grim Fandango and Thimbleweed.

It is short enough I might run through it again for the developer commentary.

ALso for like 15 years I’ve had “clambake”
In my head and had no idea where from. So that felt good.

My 7 year-old nephew asked me if I could play Fortnite with him during breakfast today, so I installed it and played a few practice rounds earlier tonight. It kind of sucks ass!

Yup! But see the positive side: you’ve finally arrived in 2018. It sucks :joy:

It’s a bummer how a few multiplayer games suck up all of the air in the room

Totally wish I could have played titanfall 2

I’ve gone back to Faxanadu after… jeez, almost thirty years…

*ponders the passage of time and the meaning of existence for a while

…anyways, I’ve gotten past where I got stuck an eternity ago as I didn’t know that a random NPC would give you an item if you went back to talk to them after following the tip they had given you earlier. I then made good progress until I ended up someplace where I was assaulted by invisible enemies that I had no way or surviving.

One googling later and it turns out there were no invisible enemies and it was just another enemy being able to cast magic without an animation that hurts you wherever you are on the screen, and you need to bring along enough healing potions to brute force your way through.
