[CORRECTIONS VOICE] As Dusk Falls is published by Microsoft and Not Annapurna, we regret the error
Yeah itâs a clear derivative of Stardew Valley, therefore marriage is in
Hey is this actually any good I have it in my wishlist on Game Pass
Itâs goofy and ridiculous, much better and more memorable than most of the annapurna-core interactive movies.
Iâd blurb Road 96 if they let me
Thank You For Supporting Interactive Drama
stray update: i glitched out of the world and uploaded a video of it happening to my twitter then my account got locked immediately for 12 hours lmao
I am glad the screenshook so it looked like everyone was moving in a way that definitely wasnât annoying.
I mean better than a Japanese adventure game portraits but then the game would be 30 hours long.
what the fuck
Probably wonât be long before we have vtuber fumetti games
wait thatâs how iâm gonna pitch mine
Could it be an automatic flashing-light detection?
nah, there wasnât anything like that in the clip. just mostly a soft grey radial gradient and a cat meowing, so who knows. anyway itâs fine, 12 hours away from twitter does a body good lol
Maybe it was an aggressive and poorly tuned copyright strike bot?
I was just playing Retsuden 3. It isnât Great but it is so much more frictive (frictional?) and enjoyable than these WWE games.
Anxiously await the AEW game, although the development seems fraught.
lmao itâs not just me!!! How a Clip From Stray Got Me Banned From Twitter
Hiding dozens of tiny butts inside every character model so that glitches from my game can never be shared on social media
As I continue to check out all this random shit I got through Humble, I tried out Farmerâs Dynasty, which seems like a combination of Stardew Valley, Farming Simulator, and House Flipper.
It is a cheaply made thing from 2019 by an Austrian dev called Toplitz, which made Medieval Dynasty, a game I actually played like 15 hours of last year and enjoyed a little bit. They also made a game called Lumberjackâs Dynasty, which also came out in 2021. Quick turnaround!!
Medieval Dynasty looked just fine and was precisely as polished as I expected it to be, but in Farmerâs Dynasty everything looks like ass. I know there are a lot of games like this, and the poor quality level here is probably nothing special, but I rarely play these kinds of games and my jaw was dropping every few minutes at how boldly awkward this game is.
itâs absolutely one of those lower budget European games which would be more compelling if it werenât trying to chase an American market this hard. Perplexingly it has full VO, and everyone has a different accent, and a lot of them are really bad American country accents. I would rather see a contemporary Austrian farming sim with like, Austrian cultural shit in it. Everything is named weird, they call all the cinderblocks âairbricks,â you cook âItalian Tomato Soupâ on the stove, etc.
There appears to be a romance, marriage, and kids element to this game, like in Stardew Valley, but the people are so strange looking and devoid of personality that I imagine any player completing this part of the game is doing so merely to unlock the following mechanic:
I actually kind of enjoyed the House Flipper aspect of the game, where you go around clicking on shit to fix it or refurbish it and slowly the nice model of the thing fades in and replaces the shitty rusty âbrokenâ model. It is meditative! I actually havenât played house flipper but now I want to. I refurbished a huge percentage of my personal farm before I stopped playing.
However, I hated driving the vehicles so much that I gave up playing it before actually plowing or planting any fields. It seems extremely vehicle heavy, I guess to appease the farming sim fans itâs courting, and the vehicle handling is so comically bad, like absolutely bottom quality unchanged Unity character controller bad, that I uninstalled when I got a quest telling me to plow a field.
Anyway hereâs the last few funniest screenshots I took of Farmerâs Dynasty. Bold!!! Bold!!!
That was the point.
Itâs a game embracing limitations.
They did more with so little, thatâs what struck people. In a lot of ways it really became a stronger game for that, focusing on limited visual input and pallet and controls and the player having to use every scrap handed to them to pull through.
