SaGa 2 / Final Fantasy Legend II–and perhaps some of the others?–have faeries as one of the monster classes, going Sprite–> Fairy–> Nymph–> Sylph–> Titania.

Just came across this PAL boxart for StarSweep that hilariously concealed the fairy angle in favor of some perspective-matrixed Tetris blocks and planets, without actually changing the ingame art

Wizardry ninja fairies have reached meme level over the years because in wizardry 7 and 8 one of the best weapons in the game if not the best is exclusive to that class/race combination.

Maybe StarSweep didn’t immediately come to mind for me because I’ve mainly played a variant that doesn’t involve fairies.
