watched the first stream of zulie the witch’s dark souls playthrough. she’s playing normally, but using camera cheats so we see the environment from different angles, looking at how the game loads and places assets while she plays. has a trip-to-the-museum quality to it all, very chill.

It’s interesting to see what they already had ready and what ended up not making it in, and how some things changed.
Still blows my mind how young media producers now will proudly admit that they don’t read the manual, and act like anything not in a tutorial is as mysterious as something on the third page of google results.

if there’s anything he needs to take an additional look at it’s his video on the call of duty campaigns where he makes exceptionally few remarks of value about the politics of any of them and takes call of duty 1 completely at face value despite it clearly being the start of their pernicious tendency to lie and make shit up about America’s Enemies which I feel like is a very important part of critically analyzing call of duty. what do I know, I don’t get paid to make 9 hour videos where I refuse to ever do a second take of any voice over I record
