someone during the Day of The Devs stream referred to their game as a “Search Action” instead of Metroidvania and I was like “do they post here!?!?”
It’s nice that the guy who played Kyle Katarn in Dark Forces 2 (who never acted after this and went into winemaking) has fond memories of making the game and enjoys signing things for fans and isn’t a “get the fuck off my property” kind of person.

i didn’t make it far into this one, it’s garbage. the answer is obviously “because anime is internationally incredibly popular, and chinese and korean millenials working in their games industry grew up watching it”, but goes into all this borderline orientalist stuff about geopolitics and soft pwoer
this one was much more interesting. i hope that chinese rpg gets translated, and it also reminds me of a question i’ve asked before: have any of the japanese call of cthulhu modules been translated into english by anyone?
At least one series of call of cthulhu replays has been translated to english, I’ll check my jtrpg resources to see if any modules got translated

twitter permanently broke discourse embeds a while back. IIRC the solution involves either paying for API access or using an embed with a lot of tracking scripts, both of which are in the category of “lol no”
