Forcing myself not to watch because I cannot afford a decent headset, new GPU and a copy of the game.

makes me long for a hyperreal sim of those overproduced romanticized chinese nationalist rustic chore porn propaganda videos, i want to groom goats and make candles and butcher dinner instead of all this prepper fantasy janitorial work

oh that’d be amazing! i love those videos

is it too much to ask for one natural sounding australian accent in massive-budget media

there’s always Vanille

who manages to fit about 14 distinct vowels into the word ā€œnoā€

and several consonants

our Australian creative director makes sure to put Aussies in our games, he’s talking about Razorbacks in our monster list and last game was all about Bruz (Bruce) the Olog-hai

later his bros mates show up:
Gaz, then Baz, then Daz

oh was this the character from the E3 preview? i do remember finding that part endearing (as cheery as you can make tyrannical mind control, anyway).

it ain’t complete without a Shaz though

ah, that would have taken us over the top

hilariously (depressingly) a huge portion of our fans didn’t understand you were the bad guy even after you turn into a Nazgul; they insisted on the same self-serving justifications such a villain would use. Antihero stories just don’t work properly for some large portion of any audience, they receive it only as edgy aesthetics.

Russell sounds like a Kiwi to me

i don’t think it’s meant to be but i’m sorry if i have inadvertently contributed to Kiwi Erasure

(edit: this is intended to sound sincere)

It looks like this game has a nice shotgun, good job Valve.

i know it’s a bygone affect but i’m disappointed by lack of sbdn venom for this thing

did everyone just accept that a post portal 2 valve was bound to stoop to bioshockisms like gun upgrade currency and rifling thru trash for electrical tape

rifling through trash is pretty neat in VR

I don’t have high hopes for this on the basis of Valve dismantling its gamemaking expertise over the past decade but it seems early to render definitive judgments

rifling through trash for something like electrical tape is miles away from just eating potato chips out of the garbage can without so much as even a prompt in terms of asinine ludonarrative decisions or whatever

like from a design standpoint it’s maybe kind of annoying but I don’t think it’s nearly on the same level as bioshock

I think maybe sbdn just doesn’t care enough about this to have strong opinions

There’s no mainstream consensus of ā€˜greatest of all time’ to push back against as there was with bioshock

I have learned from experience that much more than other games VR games cannot be fairly evaluated unless personally played
