they have it here, not sure about outside NA
i’ve never heard of it outside this forum fwiw
prob. causes cancer the way all truly effective products do
Cancer… The barkeeper’s foe
only in california
Barkeepers friend is great
Oxalic acid is pretty harmless as long as you don’t eat a lot of it or soak your hands in it for a long time. Whatever you’d use to clean a pan for as long it would take you to clean it is fine.
I prefer bon ami to barkeeper’s friend because its 100% food safe
Bon ami des barmans
the glass oxides in the ingredients for BKF made me but that’s mostly coz i fret about scratching pans … if silicon dioxide is a food-safe anti-caking agent then you can’t get too mad at glass particles right
I haven’t had any problems, though I don’t use it on anything but steel pans and I rarely get much stuck to those anyway
Me and my sister have been using BKF on enamel for ages and never had any issues.
after years of searching i finally tracked down a place in boston that sells potato-covered corn dogs (an image burned forever into my mind by @boojiboy7). turns out they taste like corn dogs, french fries, AND funnel cake, making them the most efficient way to eat a county fair
Yeah the ones in Tokyo were cheese instead of hotdog in the middle and a little less funnel cake sweetness. Still, that sounds delicious.
Cheese was the other option for this but that seemed like so much cheese! Realistically it’s probably a string cheese stick though. I’ve seen some Korean corndogs at other places here that let you choose both hot dog and cheese, which I am curious about.
yeah, it seemed like a thick string cheese in terms of amount of cheese, but it still could be a lot depending on lactose tolerances. The stands all had lots of condiments for them, though I liked just ketchup and garlic powder on mine (though this might not work as well with a sweeter version).
I would totally try the “both” option though, yeah.
I tried making them at home and the cheese ones just liquified inside the potato and panko chrysalid
get some halloumi up in there
New snack technology: I got a calamansi juice bag that is pumped full of nitrogen and has a little dispenser spout. I think it cost ten dollars but I don’t want to think about that so I won’t confirm. Tastes real good.
Once again, I am reminded of Chinese Burger King.
