For the anecdote this was the third fighting game made by the Rise of the Robots devs (after Rise and Rise 2) and has the edgiest tryhard box ever. After that they eventually found their true calling making pool games.

trying some “new” games because of the whole flycast thing. turns out that i like marvel vs capcom 2? and i don’t like capcom vs snk 2 as much as i did when i played it on ps2 back in '04?
mvc2 was fun at least. i do need to get back into practicing vampire savior and the post-update gg strive, though.

Got the rollback netcode and they apparently pared down unnecessary knowledge requirements, trying to follow the Strive playbook a bit it sounds like
still no price for this thing, and I’m very hesitant to go full anime on my fighters, but who knows, I almost feel duty bound

I got the special edition! The artbook is a separate app made in Unity that contains a giant ebook featuring interviews and history of Melty + soundtrack you can listen to while reading + dozens of pages of liner notes from the composer, Raito.
I liked it?? Spent more time reading the book than playing the game last night lol
The timeline reminded me of the tribulations Melty has had during its development. Forgot all about how Ecole helped them port the game to the arcades.
