Why yes, I do watch reviews of things I already bought.

Anyone else think John Davis’ voice is super calming?

Seconded, i love checking out how perception changes over the years, e.g. how a tiny wallflower slowly is recognited for being actually capable/kinda cool

or how people can admit they got carried away by a few shouty impressionés and judge things based on merits alone.

Cross-posting from Fading Braketunes topic:

to confirm that FM8 OST is a blip on the radar, after FM7 fell flat on its face. Recommended to give the tracks a chance (similar to FM6, this one picks up melodies and re-uses/mixes them, kinda like a leitmotif (and i am a sucker for that, ayup :servbotsalute: )

but it’s so slow!

(def not saying that because my C5 petrol V6 can go 138 mph max w/ the comfy comfort of a Hydropneumatic suspension btw, nope, def not :officersonic: )

Not long ago I remember reading some thing about how a lot of American municipalities are making golf-cart paths a thing and I’d rather drive one of these on one of those paths.

awwwwww how cute, a vid that was made for fools like moi who like the 1998 996 GT1

are they fi— (timestamp 1’47"++) :waynestare:
wait a minute … is that …

1’51" … show me the morning wood equivalent, you Cowards!!!

still, :zeldaheart:

seriously tho, it’s cute how much this touches close to home for me:
the GT1 really left an impression on young moi (let’s forget for a moment that in 1999 also fell in love with the Toyota TS020, but since there wasn’t a street-wise equivalent there, it was more a schoolboy-dreaming-of-meeting-beautiful-actress-once-in-a-lifetime schtick).
wouldn’t have imagined that 24 years later, finally could lay hands on my own 996. Even though i wanted to take my dad to a trip around the alps, never got around to do so before he was too ill, his health declining too quickly… at least we made few trips, a long one to the alps never happened though.

So when i made it there this year, driving around the beautiful winding roads on one of the highest mountainroads in Germany, this was somewhat of a making-good-and-letting-go kind of trip, and this video just made moi tear up a bit, even adding a kitschy Driven by Dreams punchline by the end —

… yeah, that’s how they got me there, am such a lousy sucker, pulling a few strings and tagline on top, bam, job done.
I know I know, falling for this is kinda lame, but what can a sentimental servbot do?

still baffled by how effin close that was for most drivers involved in this incident

during this year’s LeMans 24hs (shared that clip today since friend of mine missed that race… yeah, cannot fathom how you can miss that, too!)

in other tin-top news, not sure whether people around here actually follow SuperGT series (Geinou does, but he left posting on SB behind a decade+ ago, i think), but the Gran Turismo/SEGA GT-folks surely remember the Castrol NSX

that got a nice encore outing with the outgoing Class-A NSX, before the Civic Type-R takes over next year. Who knows if we’ll ever see a new NSX again, so at least nice to see that Honda gave it a proper send off.
