anyway i was driving around special stage route 5, they straight up deleted parts of the ground in a lot of places probably to get the place running at a decent frame rate. you don’t notice it unless you look down the side streets. pretty impressive they made a little city for us to drive our cars in, i would love to see the original file where they didn’t have to yeet chunks of it out the window so the PS3 wouldn’t melt.

I’m enjoying it, but the game locks itself mysteriously to 31fps any time I’m playing. It doesn’t matter what settings I use. High quality, 4k? 31fps. Low quality, 1080p? 31fps. I’ve tried fullscreen, borderless, vsync on and off, refresh rate at 59, 60, 119, 120, etc. I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of. It’ll show around 60fps when not in gameplay (even replays, etc.)
Maybe my wheel has something to do with it?

i assume you are aware of the menu entry where it asks the PS4/PS5 (nee XB3/XB4) question:
focus on FPS or 4k resolution
and it is set to FPS-mode (i.e. 1080 resolution), right?
because it sounds suspiciously like it is stuck in a ‘4k? a’ight, 30fps gameloop it is!’-kind of state (irrespective of what you may choose in other settings 
.
I will check after i have booted myself and am ready to execute other tasks than staying alive.

Is that an option on PC? I’ve tried every form of DLSS from off to extreme performance.

had to get the PS5 game imports from PS4 running, now checked with the xbox version of WRC10 which menu option that is:
menuing from ‘press start screen’:
3x RB ==> Options
tile ‘Video’
2nd menu option from top, ‘Performance Settings’
from there, us mortal xboxers only have two options,
so that was my idea that it might be tied to that setting, but if the PC version doesn’t sport that setting, hmm

I bet there’s some engine setting that locks the gameplay to 30fps that is mysteriously toggled on my setup.
Oh well! I can still play it! I’m not a frame rate snob necessarily. I’ll just crank up the settings and resolution and have fun.
