yes although I would argue homestuck was always unintelligible to outsiders
Haha just think of it like this: When you turn around a corner, the inner wheel has less distance to travel than the outer wheel. If you deliver slightly less power to the inner wheel, handling will be enhanced. At least that’s how I’ve always thought of it.
I got a torsen LSD for my Miata a few years ago.
I need to get one for my Z but the upgrade list is a mile long and I haven’t even started on the rear end,. Id just weld it if the axles were stronger.
You all are bad and making me eye this beauty:
FB groups I’m in that came up under keyword “car”:
I’m in a ton more car-related groups, so I’m not sure why these specific ones came up.
massive oversight that there isnt’t a ‘cars, coffee & croissants connection’ (C4) group with this
classy Citroën C4 Coupe in that tiny preview image.
Ah, being yuropean has its nice sides, I téll ya ~~~
I love a good 2-door hatchback. We do not get them in the states. We’re lucky to even get a hatchback these days!
actually, i think in their current disguise, they are a dying species!
The next 208 GTi supposedly will be some hybrid/plugin/fully e-variant, and with emission regulations it seems unlikely someone will be as bonkers as they were for the last three decades.
But who knows, maybe there’ll be a hydrogen Renaissance in a decade or so…
Love this! Barney purple, 5 speed, and the ridiculous 1.8L V6 engine.
still a massive, whopping 50ccm (per cyl.) over the Ferrari 250 series 3L V12 engine… and probably the first, and last, time in history that a mazda 3 has been mentioned in the same sentence as a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa or 250 GT.
thats like the same specs as the Miata bp series motor. So weird.
sounds better tho
It’s popular to drop the KL-ZE 2.5L V6 from the Probe/MX-6 GT into the MX-3. Talk about a rocket!
oh no
i think it is time to gear up again for one of our most lovely topics next month , i. e. we’re kind of at a crossroad (again) as the next console gen rolls around - what does it mean for racing sims, fun/kart racers, arcade racers and future racing games?
I do already have some sort of opinion 'bout pad controlled sim racing, which has been forming over the last year or so, and is exactly that kind of “where are we now?” material i wanted to talk about, tbh… and Yes, it is also a bit Corona induced -
because, who doesn’t love japanese hot rods?
So, confession time:
I do have Project Cars2 on the PS4, and I’ve barely played it there. In the PC-version, I am well underway in the story mode, and have clocked probably north of 50 hours just in having friends over and doing a sprint endurance race. I have Grid Rally 2.0 on the PS4, and jumped around in a Cit DS for a bit, but haven’t started it up since. I plan to get around to Seb Loeb Rallying for two years now, maybe i do today, since i wrote about it here!
On the ForzaBox, i have been playing FH4 regularly since release, FM7 has been going untouched for about a year inbetween, if it wasn’t for short telcons with my siblings… we’ve made it a point to talk about stuff while going around racetracks since technology has enabled us to do so about a decade ago… or more. Since FM3 basically, come to think of it…
In any case, it has been dropped into a dusty corner for a while, since it didn’t support having drivatars race with human players in its online mode, for whatever reason? We don’t care by now, but it has been more fun in the past…
So when i thought about whether i will buy into a new ecosystem with the PS5 and ForzaBox+1, i feel like i am on the fence here. There’s nothing tangible announced as of yet, the predecessors to the throne have felt a bit long in the tooth (GT6 was PS3 material, ehhhhh) and i don’t wanna wheel racing on the PS5/the box.
What I am actually looking forward to are both Saturn-flavour arcade racers Hotshot Racing(?) and that Virtua Racing Game (FRR?), but those cater to a different craving, and are for another post next month.
And thats, i guess, where my quo vadis feeling is stemming from atm.
I’ll pick this up after I’ve thought more about it, it often helps to just note thoughts down and come back to it later, maybe with some useless specs (500 gigapixels per puddle!) then?
what wheel are you using for your setup(s)?
Im a g27 stan but thats just because its what I know and it keeps on trucking
I do have a G29 (PS4 branded) wheel in my race room seat, and it basically just works on either platform, if the games don’t reset their input settings after an update without indicating as such (looking at YOU, project cars 2. Yes, YOU.)
As it turned out, i never managed to dial out the FFB issue in the PrjCars2 PS4 version, and i guess it was down to the game not being able to handle itself on the sub 30 frames it put out. That, and the NOISE IT MAKES WHEN YOU EVEN TURN A WHEEL ALONE ON THE TRACK - have somehow killed any interest in that platform when it comes to racing.
1st world problems, ayup.
Our team has recognized that a recent post by us using a logo has been misinterpreted by media and it does not reflect any information from our end, and we deny knowing any information regarding the launch of Gran Turismo 7 . There have been assumptions made in the media that are quite simply untrue. Due to this, we have decided to take down our previous social post. Our Graphic Design Department used the mock logo that is circulated on the internet.
We do apologize for any confusion that this might have caused.
:((((((((
I noticed this got an update on the Switch so I booted it up and at first glance it seems performance is improved. In the meantime I also got it on PC and it is way better, buttery smooth and with analog acceleration/braking. Now look who’s talkin’.
I was kinda stretching it a bit already when I posted this, but even having only done the stuff on the first mountain, they push you pretty good with the target times they expect you to hit for the challenges, gotta go fast (or do wild skips), etc.
I haven’t really played in a week or so, but it is a real good game, gotta be the best isometric racer there ever was?
Landlord hooked me up with a hose to use to clean my car, which was covered in springtime pollen and bird shit, and man I feel a lot better about my life today
This is what I use with an adapter to fit a real (Chinese knockoff) racecar wheel rim.
