honestly, after trying GT6 for a bit, my siblings and me jumped on Forza 7, a discounted XB1 slim and a free Forza Horizon3, and never looked back… mind you, we had a break from Forza 4 until 7, so that may have also played a role there.
Nevertheless, i just don’t know why one should go back to GT?
Too many bridges have been burnt with GT6, which was, LM and Nür24h aside, a huge disappointment. Maybe online was going strong, so that they decided to do an almost completely online only GT?
But if i want racing online, i’d rather go for a proper sim that can give me more bang for the bucks, and better racing at that… yeah, that doesn’t apply for average joe, i know.

Not that F7 fares brilliant in my book, dropping quite a few fantasy tracks as well as real ones (Motegi!), coupled with a bland lineup of cars devoid of any real oddball choices… ENTHUSIA was bizarrely daring compared to that.
Laguna Seca has come back to gran turismo. Spa came about a month ago? This is starting to feel like a proper GT. took a few laps and a few quick snaps today.
as for forza vs. gt, i don’t really consider myself a heavy racing game player, i just like driving nicely modeled cars around and snapping photos of them. the presentation of forza and horizon feel so loud and youth-marketing to me. horizon 4 starts with this monologue of this girl with a hot voice saying, “imagine! a festival that never ends! everything is always beautiful! everyone is skinny! you’re the center of attention!” and i guess i’d rather just have fewer cars but good jazz fusion music than the latest pop hits. as far as sport is from the “dragon quest with cars” as past entries is it still is the most enjoyable driving game for me to pop in and play once a week or so.
I dislike how Forza Motorsport 7 is all “here’s a grab bag of loosely themed championships. Collect those points to unlock the next tier of grab bag.”
I do like the dynamic rain effects and the cockpit view drift cam.
I like that sometimes the time of day changes between the start and end of a race. But I hate how that only happens sometimes. Other times at sunset the sun will not budge an inch under the horizon during a 40-minute race
