it’s time
nevermind, nimbus is level/paywalled it is not time it will be time 20 levels from now
i did a lot of skywave in the beta. i liked flying around shooting rockets. she has a blind and i only realized how annoying it was when i faced an enemy skywave. you can’t see shit.
yeah i’ve been playing skywave basically exclusively since i don’t have nimbus yet (and cos i swapped to deadeye one time, without really being ready to use him, and things went very poorly) but i haven’t been on the receiving end of the blind so i have no idea how effective it is.
I’m loving that I can play this game on my base Xbox one. I understand ps4 versions of new games still being made, but damn the Xbox one was discontinued in 2020. And it has cross play so I don’t have to worry about the idea of an Xbox one player base.
We joke about this being a PS360 era game but on this hardware it really does look that way.
I played 2 rounds with randos and had a lot of fun, we won both times. I’m probably gonna stick with tank, I love being able to stand still and do nothing yet still contribute by blocking a whole doorway
man. locking 3 characters behind a paywall is pretty stupid when one of those is the only sniper. just lost three matches in a row due to one team having a sniper and mine not. just kinda like… feels like a really dumb decision? not super fun to just look at the other team and be like “oh ok well this is a lost cause but i guess i’ll play”
what also bothers me is they hid a bunch of variation and stage complexity after some arbitrary and kind of large number of games played. it feels like i played 15 games before i started actually seeing new dinosaur varieties and stage variations. why? were they afraid that the complexity was too much for new players? if so, at least hint at the fact that the game will get more interesting after a certain point. i was starting to think they just removed features from the beta.
yeah i was also like… where are all the cool dinosaurs from the beta? and the answer is “well we wanna make sure that the only people who see them are those that aren’t scared off by the extremely unfriendly introduction. ”
Same here. I found it hard to stay interested playing the same map again and again, but now that it’s mixing it up a bit, it’s become more enjoyable. Really seems like a perfect gamepass game, nice to drop in on every now and again. Full price, I’d probably be disappointed with it.
