Instantly thought of this of course

And this

@Tuxedo Your Illbleed song reminded me of this one from Ultros so much that I wonder if the Ultros one was at least a little inspired by it

i assume we’re only talking about game music here? because it’s in the galaxy oddity forum. otherwise i would share a bunch of non-game things. but here’s an obvious meme answer

i like how a badly transposed midi of this became one of the most memorable moments of B3313 also

very underrated bad guy music

more inexplicably evil bgm

dunno who made this but it’s pretty evil sounding

Thinking about the adjective “evil” as the dominant adjective for a piece of music… I feel like there’s a lot of other adjectives that drown out “evil” and keep other music from hitting the bullseye. For instance, I consider Megalomania from LIVE A LIVE to be “anger/rage” music rather than “evil” music. However, I think this one makes the cut for “evil”:

Additionally, I think this one is also predominantly “evil” over anything else:

This music… belongs on a better character.

This one is mostly remarkable for how tonally off it is from the rest of the game. I like how its aural palette informs AW2’s soundtrack (although I hesitate to call most of its enemy CO music entirely “evil”)

Is it cheating to post a game about doing evil?

one of my favorite subgenres of this is when a shmup OST has a single bonkers gabber track reserved for the Real final boss. you know you’re about to get blown the fuck up when one of these comes on
