Remasters make sense. But if this really is a remake, then I am understanding “remake” as opposed to “remaster” in the context of FF7 Remake. And giving FFIX that treatment seems wildly random to me.
Oh, I assumed it’d be to the fidelity of the Chrono Cross or Front Mission games in this direct. HD but not UE4 ground-up

I bet it has to be like that. The nvidia thing is after all this random non-public thing, I could see reason for “Remake” to just be the thing that got typed into a document and nothing more than that.

Heaven’s Vault is easily their best game but I was surprised they really didn’t have the technical chops to pull off what were even modest 3D goals. And Pendragon really really needed a stronger tactics game. Unless they’ve added a movement designer this is not the direction I was hoping they’d go, they’re not nearly capable enough.

That Kirby game looks tite as hell. Also ITT I realize I’ve been conflating Live A Live and Date A Live so I was really surprised so many people were psyched for it.

It looks like a little bit of an aesthetic mishmash to me but perhaps with an interesting result ultimately. That’s another reason it reminded me of Getting Over It
Here’s hoping! And I’m sure there’s exciting design ideas underneath. I think a lot of people are starting to experiment with large, limited-animation characters for platformers and I’ve yet to be convinced any of it is a good idea.

Honestly it just made me want a Sonic soccer game. I do not think of the Mario cast as particularly athletic

I just found out about Strikers and I am also there. I played hundreds of hours of Wii Strikers
