I say nice in it being less hardware and wires hanging around my head. I also like having some sensory anchor out of the VR experience.
Would like to try Deracine sometime without springing for a used set at inflated prices but yeah, not holding my breath if it doesn’t work with the old library
I imagine it’ll at least be easier for people to get cracking on drivers for since the connection process is just a single USB-C cable now instead of the PSVR1’s multiple cables + breakout out box + camera setup. But I don’t know if you can really predict how well people will be able to get it interoperable with PC VR stuff without getting hands on it first.
Looking at the video above, those PSVR2 controllers looks like fake vr video game controllers from a movie.
I really like DF Retro videos. I wish they were still mostly just John Linneman though. He seems to be the one in the DF group who cares most about video games.
User Twinker Telling’s remake/sequel/arrange/port version of After Burner apparently built with the Hot Soup Processor sdk.
Oh, no big deal, seems to have also recreated Power Drift, for giggles.
Peep all that polygon+/pre-rendered sprite stuff going on all over these. Wow, jeez.
Not sure if there’s any where to play/download these or if they’ve only shared footage/dev updates.
What is game who got game
Where’s the game
In life
Behind the game
Behind the game
I got game
She got game
We got game
They got game
He got game
It might feel good
It might sound a lil’ somethin
But the fuck the game if it ain’t saying nothin’
hey, kool thing, come here, sit down
there’s something I wanna ask you
Let everybody know!
I listened to the Portal OSTs as a result of your comment and I was a little shocked at how much the musical style changed. Parts of the first Portal OST reminded me of Aphex Twin, while Portal 2 is full of chiptune melodies that are almost like NES music with a bit more going on in the background. Like others said, these two games are remarkably dissimilar on every dimension.
A bunch of older @thecatamites games are now on Itch.io including Space Funeral
Seems like several other devs are doing similar moves from Gamejolt right now.
my personal recommendation is Magic Wand, I loved the writing and the visual presentation, the orthographic projection on a 3d space makes it feel like walking around cute lite dioramas, the NPCs have cute quips, and I remember jumping off a train into an infinite void
Pocky & Rocky Reshrined has a release date now (at least for JP) for 21st April. Also has a new trailer showing Tengo Project are still miracle workers
And like Wild Guns and Ninja Warriors before this one is also getting a bunch of additional cool new characters

for those who waver between pocky or rocky
will probably leave the original gamejolt pages up but figured i needed backups in case the site got into further ello-for-minecrafters type shenanigans. still going thru the backlog and excited to finally release a v1.1 build of Goblet Grotto after all these years (w/ some technical fixes, a level select, and possibly even a very slightly less degrading toad sound)
Procky
Yeah you don’t really hear a lot of it in the moment but they’re surprisingly rich for different reasons.
casual reminder that Tengo Project is literally 3-4 old dudes doing their thing
