speaking as an early middle aged man myself I think it’s fine? certainly more popular when I was a kid (TNT used to run all the old movies over the Christmas holiday so most Americans my age grew up watching them on cable in the 90s) and like, I am personally in a very high percentile of appreciating decades old kitsch relative to anyone even slightly younger than I am, but I think most Americans over 30 basically like it
