E3 2021 --- directly into our veins

It’s just cheap enough that I think I will probably get one at some point.

“A spiritual sequel to Ecco the Dolphin from the same team called dolphin quest exclusively for the intellivision amico” might be the most buck wild announcement of the whole show for me.

it seems like there’s this weird thing that happens with old games like that when they get resurrected, like at the time it just felt like a weird sort of one off idea about “what if we made a game about a dolphin?” but then when they bring it back 30 years later you realize there’s this one video game designer who is totally fucking obsessed with dolphins and hasn’t spent a day thinking about anything else since the early 90s

And this is NOT the Dolphin Game Fonzie is making?

i missed the intellivision video when it came out i guess, watching it now… the whole thing is like stock photos of smiling children and then a bunch of games that look exactly the fake games made up to be on in the background in a sitcom

I am convinced 90% of games being made are just fronts. You can’t convince me that re-releasing Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy or making a spiritual sequel to Vexx* is anything but some money landering bullshit. And all I wanna know is how do I get in on that action, how do I become a front, there’s no way that wouldn’t greatly increase my quality of life.

*I do not know if this actually exists but would not be surprised in the least if it does

Gritty & dark James Pond Reboot with epic subtitle ‘Sub-sequent Subsurface Sequel’

intro lifted straight from MGS,… pardon, ‘inspired’:

Climate… . Climate has been changing

Spotlight Series logo being a subtle nod to the old EA logo from the 90s is cute

“We had all this cool shit from Titanfall we had to cut from Apex to make it slower paced” is a weird fucking answer to a soft ball interview question

Vince Zampella, what does the future of FPS games look like to you?

“idk”

Damn this Sony presentation is pretty boring so far. Why do they delay to avoid the glut of news around e3 and then just show middle-of-the-road indie stuff we’ve seen before?

Racecars in Death Stranding now lol

state of play, sososo…

let me guess, did they show someone watching a shady price bot UI?
Alternatively, you could show people running around aimlessly from shop to shop, only to be told there’s no stock, and them having no idea how to progress (actually, that sounds like a JRPG, so sony has at least one going for their platform )
