my deepest apologies for not actually respecting the last thing i said on here and disappearing for 15 days. video games have consumed my life (and also i dont have much experience on forums lol) (but also, many such cases on here)
ANYWAYS! i come bearing some news. i showed my brother this thread and that madman actually made a dreamcasko model and put her in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk! (albeit the head for the most part, like he says in the mod page he reused some parts from another mod he made) (gamebanana link)
This thread reminded me that I have the 3 books that compile all the Dreamcasko comics together. I wouldn’t mind scanning them, but I have no idea how to go about properly scanning a book without ruining the spine - I also don’t own a scanner.
I could probably “phone scan” a bunch of pages if anyone is interested though. Unfortunately, each book is about 150 pages so I don’t think I’d have the time to do them all.
well that begs the question, did you can them? lol
also, i know i’ve seen types of scanners that dont require you to destroy the spine, but they’re definitley very expensive, so i’m not sure how many places would have them? i guess if you live near a major city, maybe ask a library or something? i honestly have no idea. phone scanning might really be the best thing. i wish i could be of more assistance
hi! not sure if anyone here knows already but i kind of made an account to drop by and say that you can actually get the manga digitally through amazon. it’s not translated, but i still thought it was important to bring up!
hi! i’m back again and i actually introduced my friend to dreamcasko and the whole manga, and he actually went, found some strips in a magazine, and translated them! (it might not be the most accurate, take this more as like a proof of concept or something) (sorry if this doesn’t embed right i’ve never uploaded a picture here before)
hi! back again, and it turns out that dreamcasko participated in some japanese wrestling matches! apparently the creator of the manga is a big pro wrestling fan, so that’s probably why.
anyways, here’s the link for one of her matches, it’s on archive.org and if it doesn’t automatically take you there, it’s the 22nd one. Osaka Pro Story Comp. : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
I felt compelled to reply to this thread I found a couple years back.
I recently came back only to find there were recent posts to the thread, and I’m glad to see interest in this character is still alive!
I have dedicated an art account around Casko San in an attempt to keep the character alive (although the account is mainly art of video game girls in general).
In any case my intrigue for this character and the others involved in this promotion of the Dreamcast is very intense, however I find it really hard to find much documentation of any of it. I wish there was more info I could learn about it.
Anyways, this message is more so an appreciation of this niche community the original post has garnered, thank you for keeping interest! Feels great to know there are more who share it!
Just now made an account because of this thread as well, i will try to check this website out, seems good.
But, would you mind linking that art account? I would be glad to see anything more of Dreamcasko, as it’s so hard to find anything of her and I really enjoy the character.
Thankfully yes, this is the top result. There’s hardly anything online about SGATBITW!, and this thread has more info on it than the Sega Retro page. Really glad the people here are still active on this thread and reply quickly.
