Dope Box art

Fascinating.

Before embarking on this current trip to Japan, I said to myself that if I bought one too-expensive video game, it was going to be R-type 3: The Third Lightning, not only because I think the game itself is pretty dope, but also because I think the box art is mega-dope.

Looking forward to playing it when I get back stateside

Why can’t the videogames of today be packaged like this. I would buy more of them.

NG:DEV.TEAM please make Mega LD or LD-ROM² your niche prestige release format.

with a modern printer you can make modern video games look however you want.

NG:Dev.Team make your games available ;_;

You right. Not a bad idea, but I feel like you kinda need the real overpriced impracticality of a giant physical plastic disc to justify.

At my last job we had one of these in the office

I miss it and my chair most.

@drem 's recently posted KOFXIV box shot raised a question: What was the last PC game released in a big cardboard box?

You can get one at an electronics recycling store for pennies on the dollar! I was sorely tempted when I learned that.

I’d say from the art that looks like a Tantei Jingūji Saburō game, which came to the west as Jake Hunter in the DS
