i refuse to play another video game until our right to one with a proper miniature plasticine moss and fabric world is realized
Is Virtual Hydlide close enough?
no!
It’s waiting under your bed as we speak.
We had a pretty good clay model boxart thread on the old forum. Someone find it and link it pls…
edit: oh here it is
Golden Axe is such a pretty series. It’s almost astounding how unplayable the games are, given how memorable and appealing they manage to be.
“Lunatic Dawn” has come up a couple of times on this forum recently (maybe all in this thread?) and I looked into the series a bit and… from the sound of it, it might have actually maxed out the ratio of “games that are amazing to think about as concepts” and “games that are hell to actually play”

Make what you will of it but the UI of this political simulator has a lot more in common with casino/gambling games than historical SRPGs
Kinda feel like something got lost in translation here.

The Quake cover is so oddly minimal yet beautiful. It could be a game about anything. It could be the cover for Disaster Report!
wow that arcus cover
i would kill for a despiria fan translation
more arcus content:
(i like the one above better, but this one’s also nice)
yes, despiria is up there on my fan translation wishlist…!
might as well share some other stuff
Vaguely remembering something I heard somewhere about the US NES box art (for first-party or early releases at least) having actual pixel art from the games as a “what you see is what you get” reaction to the 1983 crash because of perceived false advertising on Atari boxes.
all box art should be a screen shot
all food packaging should just be clear
