Its been raining so much that I have to lock the pups in the living room. Otherwise, mud everywhere.

OMG I want to shower this thread with blood potions like it was Carrie.
I had an aborted adoption a few weeks ago. I had found the sweetest 75lb lab/chow mix. Bumper was polite, gentle, loving, flawlessly housebroken, the perfect level of slurpy, had a wonderful variety of yawngrowls and dream mumbles …. and then he decided that I was His Person and I had to be defended with violence at all times. He fucking hated cis men and would not tolerate other dogs. I think he came from circumstances where having a bodyguard pal wasn’t a bad move.
I had visions of myself being that jerkwad who is explaining away their dog attack, saying “oh, he’s usually such a sweetheart” and I just couldn’t. Luckily the rescue was totally prepared to take him back.
Gonna try again with a new dog later this month after some work travel wraps up.
