I do support enforcing leads/leashes for all dogs regardless of size, I don’t care how well behaved anyone thinks their dog is.
(That headline just made me think of a personal dog gripe)

my parents’ staffy fatally mauled the last chicken our family owned when she was new but has been a big sweetie since for the most part

I just assume that’s a normal thing
my only recent experience with dogs are my sister’s, one of whom responds to seeing animals on TV by grabbing a pillow in her mouth and whipping it violently as if trying to break a neck

yeah it shouldn’t ever be one breed is more dangerous than another (most bites in us are by Labradors and golden retrievers because most dog owners have labs and golden retrievers) just that owners need to be responsible for their sharp toothed animal
