If you did you gotta monetize that, can’t waste good content
both this and dread delusion people love to say are like kings field but yeah they literally just lift the aesthetic, dread delusion is more like morrowind anyway
What ever happened to that other game called Love that was supposed to be a cross between Tribes and Mario Galaxy. It was supposed to be like a team based FPS where the maps were like small planets that you could circumnavigate?
The graphics has sort of a painterly vibe if I recall correctly?
I think that’s the one!
Lost to the ages, I think, like so many others
That ungoogleable name is a blessing and a curse
I just linked it, you can download it right now
Oh shit the download still seems live!
Amazing! How’d you dig it up without scrolling through a million pages of Drake lyrics?
Love 3 generally goes on sale for 50% off (at least on PC it does) so unless one wants to play it right now it’s probably best to wait for that to roll back around. Or, you know, just pay the extra $2 now.
I had it bookmarked for the past 13 years

i remember this guy because he appeared in the old Tim Rogers doc Get Bonus back in the day. definitely a type that was more prevalent in indie games at a certain point - sort of an eccentric industry programmer guy who spun off into his own practice - an offshoot of the Jon Blow school. seems like he’s still around though.
even more confusing is there’s a game engine called LÖVE2D and yet another 2D platformer game (not related to the more well known series) called Love that someone related to a friend of mine made: Love by brlka
Dang, I tried the Love 3 demo, got to a stage AFTER the last stage listed in stage select, saved, quit, and when I try Continue, it crashes with a message similar to others reported in the game’s bug thread on Steam, where the dev said they were working on a fix immediately, one year ago, and haven’t posted there (they posted on a Sonic game or something fan thread in August I think) since. Was rather enjoying the demo, too.
Hm maybe I guess I’ll try the full game anyway. People say 3 contains all the stages of 1 and 2, or remastered versions, or something…but then Steam also sells a bundle of all three games. I’m confused about this, guess I’ll just get 3.
beat this game last year and it’s like uhhh kaizo smw romhack hard.
there’s a particular screen in the middle of the game that literally took me 2 hours to complete. the relative difficulty of that screen compared to previous ones was insane. like, there are certainly harder screens, but you’re more prepared for them when you get to them.
this was me using paint to prove to myself that the moves you had to do on either side were not symmetrical
after beating that screen i was very committed to finishing the game, and luckily no screen after that took me nearly as much time.
You can just get 3, which contains all the levels from the first two games. As far as I know they are unaltered
You can play the old games (LOVE 1 and 2, as well as the sort of prototype “<3”) in both “classic” and “remastered” versions. : )
