we need to get thomas jane cast as harrier dubois. he’s one of those people, of which I believe there are many, that are just waiting to be leftists once they are informed being a leftist and armed are compatible. I’m sure he’d agree to play him with the only stipulation that harry never finds his shoes

Did anybody try the new 1.0.4 patch for consoles?

I want to play the game on the Switch but I am still holding off doing to because performance seemed to be pretty bad (and there were quite a few bugs left, apparently)

I am about to start this game! Just a question: is pumping both Intellect and Psyche redundant?

no, nothing really has much to do with anything else. it’s the individual skills that matter, the groupings just determine where they start and what their caps are (and can be manipulated with drugs)

Thanks!
Should I choose my signature skill among the skill set which I want to keep highest (in my case, prolly, Psyche)?

pick whatever you want to be an obnoxious vessel of, basically. all the signature skill does is give you an extra point to use. you could put it in something and then completely ignore that skill for the rest of the game if you wanted to. if you’re looking to game things a little bit I’d probably put it in shivers, since that is both one of the more consequential and more interesting skills in the game. it is also likely to be relevant to the kind of game you’re interested in playing if you go with psyche/int, despite not being in either of those trees.

Ok! How low/high should I keep physical, considering Shivers is in that tree?

4/4/2/2 is pretty popular. pretty sure that’s what I played, too.

4-4-2-2 which becomes 4-4-3-2 after you give 1 point to shiver, do I understand it correctly?

nah, it would still be 4/4/2/2, shivers itself would just be 3. the 2 in physique means everything in physique starts at 2 and caps at 4. you cap at double the base of the category the skill is in. drugs raise caps temporarily (or permanently because of bugs that the developers decided to keep), and different clothes and thoughts also effect your skill level. you can end up juicing things quite a bit to pass checks

Would 4-5-2-1 be a stupid idea (Motor to 1)?

Not a bad idea to have a dump stat, in general failures in this game are just as entertaining as successes. There’s no real bad way to build in this game as long as you have the right attitude, and the game is very good about training you to have the right attitude, that’s one of its best properties.

I have indiscriminately unlocked a few thoughts that I am not too keen on. E.g. Inesplicable feminist agenda. are there enough thoughts containers for all thoughts? Or should spend skill points every time I get one I do not like? Isn’t it too punishing?

unlocking thoughts doesn’t actually equip them in your closet, it just makes them available. I think you only get 9 slots max, and there are many, many more thoughts than that. so just don’t internalize stuff that doesn’t seem interesting or relevant to you.

2-3 hours in the game and i have internalized 2 thoughts that don’t seem great… Should I keep going and spend 2 skill points to forget them, or just restart the game? I don’t know how much skill points will “cost” in future.

I would just keep them for now and then dump them if you find yourself really wanting to internalize something that you don’t have the space for. it’s not a huge deal.
