DEVIL MAY CRY 😈

Neither are as bad as Lost Profits. I loved that album but… What an evil pos.

THE VISIONARY MIND OF ADI SHANKAR had me rolling ngl. aggressively subtweeted by the director of castlevania series for being a terminally lazy credit thief, constantly hanging out with Trump admin and Hindutva weirdos, with a brain that’s mostly an edgy meme-driven popculture blender. how about you ENVISION an animated series that knows how to deploy animation pauses instead of delivering a constant stream of EPIC choppy fights and references.

Animation is fine, Studio Mir have been pretty reliable in that respect, story is confused and will, unfortunately, make you long for when Warren Ellis wrote this adaptation material.

Absolutely egregiously misused and mistimed needle drops too, not even in their choices, but how and when they’re employed. It getting a second season announced so close after it dropped makes me think that was always the plan and yes, I’m nonetheless still going to let it bother me that this got one and there’s nothing yet on future Nocturne seasons.

Not looking forward to Shankar using this as part of his myth-making vehicle whilst his bizarre politics become more noticeable and public.

I got 2 eps in and I’m already tired. How many levels of internet atheist need to exist to quantify how much you hate the idea of magic or supernatural concepts in fiction? Half an episode of exposition was wasted to make sure you don’t call them demons or call their abilities magic. Mystery is dead. No whimsy can exist without having to set up cringe attempts at bathos.
