I saw we were playing at the same time last night and we could possibly play together but I am playing on a xbone controller in the dark with headphones next to my baby so I can’t really hear you if you talk or type back to you.
But if you want to do strikes or something i can just join your fireteam and if I need to go or take a break can message you on steam through my phone.
God the level this is easier compared to 15 or 10 or 5 years ago is incredible.
That would be cool! I’d first have to figure out what I even want to do. This game makes me want to get out a piece of paper and make a list, I swear. I think there’s a “dungeon” I should do. On the moon. I tried going at it alone and it told me to find the necropolis. I was totally lost and respawning was restricted. I just bailed out of there. I think that’s still Shadowkeep content? That would be one thing and then there’s the strikes, which I’ve never done before.
So if you’re okay with it being kinda awkward because I don’t know what the hell to do I’m down. The no voice and chat thing is fine with me! Sounds chill
Oh and I think I need like 50 more light, I might be kinda under leveled. I’m on that though, shouldn’t be long. I’m at around 1150
I don’t got shadowkeep but if we just go into strikes it will just give us The Destiny to do.
How I play Destiny is putting on music and killing things while a dozen little progress boxes fill and then I try passively to find new progress boxes.
There’s the Splicer content we can do as well. I think it’s a mission in the tower?
If you come back to this game once a year you have so much god damn crap to go play.
This new Tron shit seems neat. Glad I only barely care about this game seems like a real hassle if you get invested.
Finishing the campaign of Beyond Light gave me so many Quests and talking people and then activated the last season when I had already active the current and two seasons ago and Destiny is sometimes like being unstuck in time as Zavala told me good job, the threat to humanity had never been greater, we all need time for rest, good job, we need to remain vigilant, and the threat had never been greater.
If you mean the Override mission that’s in the HELM which I guess is technically in the tower and also its own destination. That one I can definitely not do yet because it’s 1300 light and I tried it and couldn’t do any damage.
After much consideration I also beyond lighted and I’m now also supposed to make sense of like 3 storylines simultaneously. It’s a total mess, I love it. At the end of the day it’s all only checkboxes anyway
The alternative is giving people dozens of hours of homework before they can play current activities with friends. Some games do that but I don’t think it’s better.
If you want to play sequentially, find the quest line for the season (Challenger’s Proving for last season, Path of the Splicer for this season).
The tron stuff (override) has sections where you need to jump on disappearing platforms and I couldn’t get through it for the life of me when I had that no damage run. I just got teleported to the end of it after teammates did it enough. Half of my team couldn’t get through it. There’s a splicer gauntlet or something you get that you can upgrade and one upgrade is more platforms in, I assume, those sections. It’s kinda bunk.
No, I like it it! It’s messy but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Just let me play whatever, that’s cool
I mean like maybe ask me if I want to start a season’s or expansion’s story instead of dropping me in when I start the game but I’d have said yes to all of it because I need it raw and in my veins right away - more quests!!
The “Strafe” version of Titan/Warlock jumps makes it significantly easier to control yourself in air, which helps a lot with jumping. Hunters get Triple Jump which is pretty good too. If you’re struggling with some of the platforming bits I definitely recommend switching.
Warlock is unique in that you can’t gain vertical height while you’re falling because your jump is all momentum, and some people find that disconcerting. I’m used to it by now though and it has some interesting advantages (like the longest horizontal travel distance and best air control) that make it hard for me to go back to the standardized “jetpack” and “double” jumps of the other classes.
I did not know that the jumps vary so much between the different classes. I thought everyone had the same three options! Mind blown.
I don’t know if I have the time to try out and switch to the two other classes. And I’m so used to warlock by now… It’s the only class I ever really played even though I made characters for all three. But yeah, maybe I’ll actually do that, it sounds like a fun project to try out all the different supers and jumps and whatnot. Definitely something more to do
