We need a pod dropping exotic GL
They’re getting rid of sunsetting next season, I’m laughing my fucking ass off.
Everything that was sunset is still sunset, but if it has an infusion cap of 1310, it’ll stay relevant forever.
Also:
- Crossplay in two seasons
- All shaders will be perma-unlocks when transmog gets added
- Overhaul to competitive PvP modes, including Trials (to make it more appealing to randos)
And a bunch of other stuff. Only took them over a year of negative feedback to finally listen lmao.
uhhh lol
Praedyth’s Revenge
they are going to have to do something truly remarkable to get me to do trials without just suicidin’ for the 10-match bounty wep drop
just the most wretched time to be had in the game at this point, and cbmm hasn’t been working out either in any case
Even if I do badly, I usually still try. I hope the Trials rework gets more people into the mode, though. The fact that so many people avoid it entirely because of the bad reputation is a failure on Bungie’s part to successfully incentivize the mode.
Was thinking they should just add random drops to the end-of-match pool. Every few matches get a middling-roll armor or a gun. Go 3/5 wins for weapons with extra perks and high stat armor, Flawless for Adepts + extra perks. Would help encourage people to play the mode if they can get rewarded for it.
I honestly think Trials is totally doable and that the majority of the issue with the playlist is the extreme difficulty and community toxicity drives people away. Giving them incentive to stay and build Trials teams that stick together (which is how you eventually go Flawless, in my experience) would help out a lot.
Related: the PvE community complained that the raids weren’t “hard enough” because a bunch of people got Deep Stone Crypt day 1. Last Wish got single digits and Garden was an order lower than Crypt, so raiding isn’t exclusive anymore.
…So now Bungie is separating out “Day 1” from “World First” and making World First players complete special Triumphs, on top of learning the raid, in order to claim the title. Great! Now people can cut their teeth on Day 1 raiding and feel connected to new releases without having to be no-lifers or career players. And those ultra-hardcore players can still show off their skill at beating the hardest challenges the designers can lay out.
Trials just needs something like this. The problem isn’t that Flawless or World First is exclusive, it’s that its ~inaccessible~. For many players, even attempting is out of their league. Smoothing that on-ramp so more people try, even if less people succeed, is (and should be) Bungie’s primary design goal with this content.
yeah i mean bungie’s entire approach to actually providing tools for tired old dogs and neophytes to skill up is depressing to think about in general; in trials you’re dealing with that and a matchmaking mechanism at its least encouraging
i’m just glad there’s not really anything in the gunpool there that i desperately need for pve
i’d really appreciate a no-supers playlist about now too, i’m pretty over the whole blue-shells-for-everyone-especially-if-you’re-good thing
we bleed hakke this weekend
the power of friendship is real and bungie hate it
I didn’t do win-trading bc I don’t believe in it, but I’m glad a bunch of people who would’ve otherwise never touched trials got to go flawless at least once.
Alas I was AFK but don’t care about boots.
For the uninitiated
Make your own fate for the union makes us strong
Embarrassing Bungie by cliff diving and now this would seem an excellent way to accelerate changes to the mode
lol they keep having to disable trials bc win-trading is so extensive now. god bless this shit game
i’m really looking forward to the next episode in this storyline
Without a doubt the easiest Trials weekend to date. Got to flawless without breaking a sweat thanks to good teammates and good plays.
at very much the opposite end of the skill spectrum: got a rap-hit/rampage ighammer for just jumping into the void a bunch of times, pretty pleased with that
we made a game of seeing if we could make it past the opponents and out before they could kill us
3 of our 10 matches, opponents were also throwing
last match last round we just hung at spawn and had a celebratory emote with everyone before they ended it with a well timed shatterdive triple
counting us, that puts this past weekend at a 27% suicide squad rate.
also that last round was a highlight. the first person from their team to make it over just walked up and was looking us over before everyone joined in on the emote party. It was a great moment of community.
I got 6 igneous hammers but only one with a decent roll (QD/SS). Got a god-rolled Sola’s and Adept Reload though so that’s nice.
One of my clanmates was running 3-win double carries all weekend long, played like 200 matches without bothering to go Flawless lmao
it occurs to me that bungie have engineered a situation where you basically run out of things to do in pve and are left with pvp as the only thing left, organisation of which essentially sucks every fuck on the globe if you’re not able to become a sicko
think i’m pretty much done with this game, sadly
gonna be weird to go through withdrawal
Iceborne!
Gonna be really hard to play a MH game without the grappling hook from Rise now.
I should really play the most recent campaign I mean I bought it and then stopped playing entirely.
