the story mode for ultra fight da! kyanta 2 was translated into english and yes, it’s a fighting game where a force-fem tf story is a central plot point. will avoid posting all the nsfw bits.

That’s SMT If? How is it on the grindiness front?

It’s an early SMT game, so it has grinding, but when you or your human partner dies, they can gain a new (possibly better, or worse) “Guardian” (proto-Persona) which will change some of their stats and also give your partner different spells, so that helps keep it from getting too dull.

What’s really annoying is that when a demon asks you to put down your weapons, it’ll unequip your gun, which I guess makes sense, but I always fucking forget to re-equip it so I’ll get into a battle and:

there’s a dungeon about halfway through that’s notoriously boring/grindy, requires you to keep waiting x moon phases for tunnels to be dug in different directions if i remember right

the biggest benefit to the PSX ports is that movement is faster and smoother, but I think some of the updated backgrounds look super goofy since they didn’t update the event sprites at all. i’d like to see either the sega cd or tgcd versions instead.

also the sega cd version has more nude cultists:

I really want to go back to this, but I haven’t played it in years. I logged in a few weeks back, and just collected all of the rewards that had accumulated. I have tons of death metals. I love the aesthetic of this game.
