Katsuya is confused because those clearly aren’t sideburns, but he did obviously ask to have his hair cut to look like a 1970s American detective.
My favorite thing about this early line of dialogue is that it seems like it’s just a reference to the events of Innocent Sin, except those things never happened in this timeline, Jun’s dad is just a big weirdo and obsessed with conspiracy theories to the point that upon hearing the principal was murdered, literally like 15 minutes ago, he assumes it must be black magic nazis from the dark side of the moon doing it or some shit.

I want to part-time as a Devil Summoner.
“Chief Todoroki” is actually Kyouji Kuzunoha inside of this random old guy’s body, hence why he works at the Kuzunoha Detective Agency and seems to know stuff about demons. Unfortunately, Devil Summoner has still yet to receive an English translation, so the only way to know via English sources who this is referring to specifically without looking it up is if you’ve played Soul Hackers (where he’s a minor character) which didn’t come out in English until thirteen years after Eternal Punishment, so.
Tamaki/Tammy is originally from Shin Megami Tensei if… as the female protagonist, but I guess she managed to wander her way into another world because she then appeared as an NPC in Revelations: Persona (the 9 people she’s referring to are the protagonists she went to St. Hermelin with in Revelations: Persona, and I assume the others she’s forgetting are the protagonists from Innocent Sin, though she only went to high school with one of them and that person is included in her 9 count)).

The Kuzunoha Detective Agency has a huge television and stereo system, which I always thought was weird unless it displays a bunch of camera feeds but then that’s super creepy.
Igor having any plot significance at all in post-2 Persona games is an absolute joke.

sonic heroes hack. lets you play through a combined sonic 1 & 2 with sonic 3 poweups and free switching between the 3 character. verry recomended, works on real hardware

If instead of giving the lady in the 2X Slash your birth month you beckon Hastur, you’ll get a Material card that will let you summon Hastur (but it’ll be a while before we’re high enough level to summon it).

Never show armpits or feet, it only attracts the weirdos (I’m in the former weirdo category but not the latter}

This, the very final shot of a game, is supposed to be a boat heading out into the ocean, but there’s like not enough information in the image for my brain to understand what this is. Like a boat-bottomed boat cruising through the void toward the edge of the skybox.
