Last night inwas getting back to Vampyr and made about a dozen missteps when i basically forgot how the systems in the game worked, and i ended up erasing my save and starting over.
Abandon all progress, ye who enter.
What are times yall have done this? My older sibling has a save on Valkyria Chronicles I watched him restart dozens of times because he was unhappy with how he ran initial missions.
I almost restarted Rain World because I thought i was stuck. Didnāt do it because once I started thinkking about my options logically I realized I was wrong.
On the other hand I deleted my save file for Oneshot because thatās how you unlock new game+
ive done this with so many gta games. like iāll miss not having any money for weapons or access to ammo for the good shit. also the tiny safehouses have more character
Fairly regularly. I tend to forget my progress/whatās going on, and will restart. which just creates the cyclical process because Iāll get bored or frustrated by shitty exposition dumps and give up, or get a few hours in and get sick of it.
fortunately, we have letās plays, longplays, video walkthroughs, and speedruns to reference now, so I donāt have to do this as often with like, RPGs anymore. if i donāt remember dick about a dungeon or something, i can just check a video to help my recollection. i do this instead of reading walkthroughs when Iām confused, as well.
I just cleared my Pokemon Y game that had stalled back inā¦2014 I think. I had reached Lysandreās final showdown and I think I had to repeat it a couple times for some reason before giving it up and moving on. I needed something to do on the interminable bus ride back from Toronto on a lazy friday and I didnāt have a book handy.
Turns out thereās no dedicated delete save button in pokemon! And the method is even more esoteric than previous generations! Game Freak!
I deleted my save file about halfway through English Country Tune as I accidentally hit the new game button and it has no āare you sure?ā question afterwards. I actually emailed increpare to see if there was any chance a backup of it was hidden on my comp somewhere. He was very nice but couldnāt help
