I never completed every delivery, but it did seem like the original game never tried playing with minimizing your equipment to the absolute minimum. Infiltrating a terrorist base would be a good justification to play with that.
yeah i wanna see what this is
though i was just about to start a new play through on pc
If kojima felt he had to make the game more metal gear like that is such a sadness
thereās no way this is an overhaul of the game, right? i mean the most obvious idea is that this will just add more missions (?) but iām curious . . .
if itās new content to make it more appealing, thatās an⦠anti-directorās cut
Best case scenario this is just a graphics upgrade for PS5 and not a platform exclusive Kojima take on The Quiet Man hearing DLC
Knowing Kojima the trailer implies a Metal Gear style sneaking mission but once you actually play it it will reveal itself to be a P.N. 03 style rhythm shooter.
What did he get told to cut the first time around? What was left out of āhis visionā the first time around?
Oh he gets to fuck around with it again and get 800k more sales okay.
this trailer seems to imply the opposite, right? he puts the box back on the shelf. none of that silliness anymore.
probably just additional cut content, like the MGS āsubsistence/Intergal/etcā releases
It felt very reminiscent of all the MGS4 leadup trailers. Hokey little fakeout and an intention of doubling down on DS gameplay without giving into the urge to put the box on, taking the easy way out.
That said they should definitely add a skateboard like in Substance
uhh my boots are nearly fucked, how do i get new ones or repair them?
for reference iām still in the very opening section of terrain, which i was exploring
After reaching the second (and main) area youāll learn about chirons (those gold-ish rocks) and how to use them to repair your gear.
The opening is a pretty dope place though and worth checking out or returning to later on.
IIRC you should have a spare pair hanging from your backpack, have you used those up too? Otherwise you can swap them in your inventory.
Also you can make new boots in shelters or take them from some hostiles or mailboxes, but youāre maybe still to early for that (depending on what you mean by the very opening).
you can make emergency sandals from sandalweed, but you might have to take a job or two first before they tell you about and let you collect sandalweed in the world. you donāt have to go all the way to the second area before you can get new boots though
Did anyone get the toenail pull scene? I never found boots running out in the game proper and once spent time without boots to see how injured I had to make my feet, but it never triggered. Sam just grunted and took it.
Iāve seen other people get frostbite, but I spent too much time in places that get real winter, without heat, to let myself at a psychological level let Sam walk out into that unprepared.
okay i managed to mug a mule and steal their boots
i am on board with this gameās statement that the drive to Work is the realm of mental illness and addiction and to be monitored closely
also if the weirdly tiny map of north america is meant to contribute to my deep suspicion of anything iām being told by anyone in this piece of fiction, it is working
itās funny how you basically contract MULE syndrome if you get really into building the roads and getting your stars up to 5 late in the game.
