OST still holds up well, i so hope the gameplay does as well… it has been more than a decade that i did play it last time. Also have 'cube, game , two GBA-cables in the basement tucked away, and look forward to be able to play this easily.

it’s literally the same game, to the point where the online multiplayer is a port of how it worked where people joining on the host are just like characters loaded from a memory card
i beat the first area and not feeling super strongly about it. i dig the vibe and music but the combat is doing very little to keep me engaged. the boss was boring and took too long and that’s after getting sucked into the transiton/cutscene/fight then spit out to the map before i could fully explore the area which always irks the hell out of me.
there’s a big huge hard mode post game

the voice acting fucking sucks and so do the battle chirps. also the moogles say “cup-O” instead the clearly correct “coop-O” which is wild. anyway I’m glad i can turn all the voices off.
