Sorry to keep tootin’ my own horn here, but I’ve just put the demo of Crosstown up on Steam.
The full game is about ready to go (as long as nobody minds only being able to play it with an Xbox controller or keyboard), but I wanted to get this demo in the pipe for “NextFest”, which is an event where Steam highlights games with demos out but the full game hasn’t been released yet.
Anyway, from the testing I’ve done, it works with both 360 controller for Windows, and Xbox One controllers, and the multiplayer works. You can even play it remotely via Steam’s “remote play together”, although you have to have a pretty low ping for the game to play well streaming to the client(s) machine(s).
it’ll probably come soon! I kept waffling on it because it requires a controller, and I thought that Steam players wouldn’t like it if it needed a controller, but that’s dumb because there are plenty of games on Steam that require a controller. I had the same reservations about Crosstown (although you can also play it with keyboard, the keys are just weird with using arrow keys to move instead of WASD), but I got over those, so I will try to get over them for In the Pit, too!
