I dunno, there are plenty of Native American tribes who are monotheistic, and plenty of Asian religions that are monotheistic, and I feel like Christians probably considered them Pagans as well, because it wasn’t the “correct” one true God (even though they were happy to appropriate the word for the one God from these other people’s languages to refer to the Christian God and also to rewrite these people’s myths subtly under the logic of the Prisca Theologia in some cases under the logic that they pointed to the one God but were just in error subtly).
