Paid them a visit again with only a week to go before I take it home. Feel a bit bad about breaking them up.

(mine’s the short haired tiger who starts off in the middle, still need to think of a name)

Family photo

The blond one was apparently born quite weak and was almost pushed out by the others at first but has now grown up to be the most rascally, frequently being the first one to escalate conflicts by biting the hind legs of his siblings.

My mom had a cat who was the runt of his litter and was abandoned by his mom and was adopted by a family who nursed him to health and called him Hope and sadly had to give him up when the dad turned out to be pretty allergic.

He was a notorious asshole who completely cowed our much larger dog and ran shit in the house and actively fucked with people constantly (he would spill drinks if they were too full, and chew through shoelaces, and sometimes just attack people). We named him Q/Satan/Kittybub. He lived to be 19 years old. He was a cat king.

So what I am saying is watch out for the little ones. They do not fuck around.

That’s the kind of sour cream that you can put on anything. I never eat sour cream in the U.S. but I’m a fan of smetana and would buy it if I could find it here.

I used to make spaghetti and add smetana and Tony Chachere’s seasoning. It was a perfect combination.

So this is not entirely off-topic, here’s a photo of one of my cats that I took a few days ago:

smetana is wonderful, you can find it in eastern euro delis and grocery stores, and rarely in iranian grocery stores.

this is the second time this week I’ve heard about smetana what’s the story with it?

My people made better sour cream than what the filthy western capitalists could come up with. It’s very rich and creamy compared to american sour cream, closer to creme fraiche (but still, better than creme fraiche).

She hasn’t eaten, drank or gone to the bathroom yet in the 3 hours since she came here. Will also have periods where she’s calling out loudly while searching around for her family

But I think we’ll be alright.
