Cartoons (Part 1)

,

this looks sooooo nice its crazy.

i’m guessing they’ll adapt all the way up to the bomb devil arc, although they did not show “that person” on the PV

i’m curious at who are the voice actors

Yeah, the briskness and denseness of this won me over, recc’d
Good clean fun and a cool dorky robot

oddtaxi is an all time funny animal cartoon. they nailed the ending. i guess in addition to vince gilligan and jim jarmusch, it’s a little coen brothersy but it’s really it’s own thing.

the twist with the animals was laid out pretty straightforwardly, but the other twist really fucking got me good lord

I feel like I wish this show had come out years earlier so it could have been “the show on TV playing in the background while I’m making out with a cutie” instead of Family Guy

I’ve been watching this over the course of the pandemic, it’s delightful. Very much a “this week we meet this civilization, they’re capitalists. Next week: Socialists” type of show.

I have this movie on DVD. It’s like 70 minutes of NGEsque pseudokabbalist horseshit and amazing action scenes, I love it

Tragically this looks like a new adaption with copious CGI, not just a cool looking old 90s cel animated thing.

Yeah the thing I meant to imply that’s longer than the post I actually wrote is given that this cool movie exists I don’t know what would be added by having this CGified series. I’m too lazy to communicate any more

yeah, the movie is classic Studio 4C flexing their animation chops with a stupid indiana jones plot stapled on (but significantly less racist than Indiana Jones)

Gravity Falls was pretty fun! That’s a show I wouldn’t have minded getting more of

It’s not nearly as good but iirc the Mitchells vs The Machines movie was written and directed by ppl very involved w gravity falls, and in the better parts of the movie it really shows
