The main theme of Castle Master by Matt Furniss is probably one of my favorite pieces of vgm of all time! The Amiga rendition of this song is also fantastic, but I am always impressed by how wonderful it sounds even with the limitations of the Commodore 64. It’s such an enchanting little tune!
Matt Gray is working on the fifth one of these arrangement albums now, and all of the past ones have been great. Just when you think a song has been arranged to death, there’s a great new take on it.
Some of the recent Kickstarter updates have been about things kind of falling apart for him in life. I know people with talent often don’t find financial success, but it’s strange that the person who wrote the music from Driller isn’t constantly in demand.
