As someone with a lot of theme park experience there is no way in hell all those stairs are real.
I’m kind of shocked they made a Donkey Kong portion and not a Zelda portion.
Donkey Kong is easier to make a theme park around but I cannot imagine there are a lot of folks dying to go to it.
Assuming this is legit, and all.
i think donkey kong sold like twice as many copies as zelda which BOGGLES MY MIND but still its probably why

Donkey Kong country was popular, but link to the past beat it solidly and Donkey Kong never managed to crawl up to the top of the banana tree of sales again.

Donkey Kong Country had a bigger marketing push. I remember getting a promotional VHS tape in the mail.

either way, the art style in the park model is based on the Retro games
I think both Zelda and Donkey Kong would be considered second-tier brands, so maybe the decision came down to practicality. Donkey Kong supports a mine cart ride, maybe the parks already have or don’t want a medieval fantasy theme, maybe they just want to get dual-use out of all those palm trees they’ve got…

i’d be curious, though, to see figures in terms of merchandise sales.
i see a lot of kids with Zelda backpacks. i have never seen a DK backpack.
seems pretty bizarre and unlikely they wouldn’t have something Zelda related at a Nintendo theme park, idk.
