has igf ever even acknowledged the existence of japanese indie games other than cave story?
in my experience you have to drag them kicking and screaming into participation; it’s so insular and different from the Singapore, South Korea, Chinese scene
if they don’t want to participate and they don’t submit to festivals, then…?

it works if you’re in the The Hobbit is completely separate from Lord of the Rings world of the '30s, but if your game’s title is a subtitle appended to Lord of the Rings, well, you have a Gollum that’s more than a cave monster

Yeah it’d be cool if we got a new LOTR/Hobbit thing that didn’t just look like the movies that are already 20 years old. Time for people to use their imagination and come up with something new and weird imho.
