My sister’s experience with smaller employers suggests there are a lot that ignore labor laws (because they can get away with it) and your only real recourse is finding another job (because stirring shit up is certainly not going to make anything better for you, personally).

Getting assaulted for being a prick is different than getting assaulted for playing a video game, and if the assailant meant the former, they should have done it in situation that didn’t imply the latter.

I’ve only heard of hbox getting worse, but take that with a grain of salt as I can’t back up my claims

I feel like people talk disproportionately negatively about him just because they don’t like him for doing so well with what they consider a “boring” character.
I actually find his playstyle with jigglypuff refreshing and entertaining. I am not a fan of the overly technical playstyle that melee’s meta has evolved into and it’s nice to see someone do really well just by mastering fundamentals like spacing, positioning, psychologically reading your opponent. his matches aren’t fast paced but they are fascinating to watch.
okay but he literally just won a tournament and was not being obnoxious about it or anything. like when it happened he was just kind of sitting there in stunned disbelief that he actually won.

In the EU you have to get the employee to sign a form saying they opt out of overtime restrictions and you’re golden (last employer was US-based but not games and asked me to do it)
He would be too broken.

Throwing a crab at even the coolest and best person is at best very funny and at worst juvenile and calling it an “assault” while legally accurate is frankly devaluing the word and no one should care about any dimension of or perspective on this incident. The end
