Also relevant is this nice Telefang-dedicated tumblr, which is think is owned by one of the wiki runners. Concept art of the games is kind of weirdly hard to find, so this is one of the only good sources for this stuff. It also doesn’t hurt that their personal tumblr is loaded with bug love.

I just found these by doing an image search for “crystalis bug boss” or somesuch.
I always felt Crystalis’s art and music has something a little sinister and mysterious about it, even in the less openly postapocalyptic areas.
I’m actually not sure if those are video captured or if they’re screencaps from FCEUX, which has a sort of “composite” filter.

Why hasn’t Drone Tactics been mentioned? WHY!?!? Well, maybe because it’s an obscure DS SRPG based entirely around fighting robot bugs. Yeah, they’re robots and not Real Bugs… but the bug love was very strong with this one. It’s actually not a bad game either!
Tank! Tank! Tank! also has a good number of bug levels, basically just like EDF. I don’t care if people hated this game, I loved it and was certainly my favorite Wii U launch window title. Apparently it’s now available with a good chunk of the game for free on the eShop, and you can buy modes as DLC to get the “full” game.
Panzer Dragoon series has a lot of bugs to blast. But yeah for Saturn I came here looking for someone to say Bug! and @sleepysmiles did not disappoint.
FLippfly’s been doing this thing where they put a couple of prototypes up and people vote on something to get made, and The Last Colony is one of 'em.
And I just remembered a couple of ant games from a Ludum Dare a while back.
