Take on a maniac aggressive hunter mindset and wail on him nonstop during the first phase. Don’t look for safe opportunities to punish, it’s never particularly safe, so just dodge forward and sideways and keep attacking. Aside from this strategy generally working at least as well as any other, he sometimes delays his second phase transition if you stay in his face.
Also, he isn’t kin, so don’t use that anti-kin gem you found right outside of his boss room.
yeah, relentless offense is key, use a weapon with good regain and counter hit as much as you have the stomach for (most of the bosses don’t test you on that game mechanic but holy shit this one does.)
fight him in the water if you can as there’s less level geometry to get stuck on, but (spoilered because i don’t wanna ruin Cool Boss Aesthetics for anyone else lol) avoid kos’s corpse at all cost, as he will cry out and summon waves of lightning that originate from her. when you see him start screaming (i mean, like, really making a big deal about it, not all the other screaming) immediately unlock and face the corpse so you don’t get hit in the back by waves of lightning
yup. he has this fast moveset well adapted to taking advantage of general dodging habits. sekiro may give you more mobility but also feels a lot like this, with bosses and several enemies having tricky, elaborate moves meant to trap you into mistakes and to stop you from trying to create breathing room.
Just for the record: after having my butt kicked several times by Orphan of Kos, I was a bit annoyed and I went to finish the game. The last two bosses (of the true ending) were a breeze compared to the DLC bosses and I killed them at the first try… And! And then the game restarted with NG+ (so, no more chances to fight Orphan of Kos).
i think on april fool’s they should have announced that this project was complete and released it to the public, but then when you download it it’s just Nightmare Creatures
Uh, lol. First off surely we can all agree this is never going to actually come out. I remember fervently anticipating the HBO Oryx and Crake show circa 2012 and look where that got me. Anyway, even if they do actually manage to produce this, I can’t see how it could ever be worth watching.
OK so apparently now Hulu is working on an Oryx and Crake show. I think it’s probably both a sign of personal growth and societal degradation that I am no longer excited about an Oryx and Crake show.
I’m not excited about the people who turned Handmaid’s Tale into the most pernicious neoliberal white feminism (yes all those elements were already there in the novel but, not that bad) sharing their take on Oryx and Crake
