Honestly, I just think showing where she’ll end up in rewind is what’s needed. Right now it’s too easy to panic hit it and end up even where you were standing without being punished in any way. If I don’t remember where I was 4 seconds ago, I’m pretty sure no one on the other team does either.
she’s kind of like illidan. pro players fear him because his skill cap is absurd, even though his overall winrate is a mere 47%
tracer’s is 10 points higher, and she’s equally (if not more, if not significantly more) dangerous from a base kit / skillcap standpoint.
bliz plz
you should actually have to use all of the ridiculously powerful tools tracer provides in order to be effective with her. honestly, given her base kit, her numbers should be low enough that players at our MMR can’t make it work. anything more and she’ll be busted as hell at pro play
this is basically what happened with kalista in league of legends. extreme mobility on a steady damage dealer was too much. she’s been nerfed probably ten times and she’s still among the best at her role in professional play. she currently has the fifth lowest solo queue win rate in the game (and league has like 130 champions).
well, tracer’s winrate plummeted. maybe there’s hat-eating in my future. still looking forward to seeing pros use her, as there’s a dearth of that material available as of yet
chromie looks disgusting. medivh looks disgusting if you can coordinate well, and worthless if you yolo
about time medivh is in this game I mean holy fuck.
I had DRAGONS on my list of characters that should be in here too, but chromie is a pretty weird pick. mildly surprised they’d go with her over nozdormu if they wanted a TIME DRAGON (yes, warcraft has multiple time dragons. in fact it has multiple factions of time dragons. lets move on), but they seem committed to a certain ratio of Cute Characters, so whatever.
more surprised they aren’t giving us Lothar and Durotan instead as a movie tie-in thing.
I go back and forth between not wanting anymore ranged assassins because bleh and wanting more so maybe I could play Li-Ming in hero league once in a while.
my character in wow is currently using the robe chromie has in hots as my transmog. this doesn’t mean anything but I felt like sharing
kind of sad medivh’s portal ability doesn’t just summon an endless stream of crappy orcs until you kill the portal or something. instead it’s basically bard’s E from league. bard is cool though.
i’m thinking they are going to try and balance medivh around having terrible damage but having a set of abilities that could all be heroics. it’s kind of perfect: he can’t solo support and the HL playerbase considers everything but the most vanilla, groupthink iteration of the meta (1 tank, 1 support (not tass), 1 melee, 2 ranged dps) to be “trolling”. so even if he’s busted in pro play, i’m suspicious of his potential to be even remotely as strong in pug matches, especially soloq qm. chromie has a 7 second iceblock at 12 or 15 (lol at her getting her talents a level early). that’s absurd. chromie looks like an absolute blast to play.
i am going to force medivh over and over even if he has a 40% winrate in pugs
I watched a bunch of videos and honestly, Medivh looks way better at solo queuing that I was expecting from reading about him. I think he’ll only be super nasty in a coordinated team, but I think he’s still be solid playing with randos.
Chromie looks like a lot of fun and yes her trait is hilarous.
We’ll have to see if Tracer is a Illi situation because having finally gotten around to player her post-nerf it really feels like too much. She’s playable, but I really struggled to have an impact for my team. It really stands out since Kael is free this week and wow is he dumb
played some of the night elf lady who uses the bow today since she’s on free rotation, didn’t feel much like queuing up for and melee stuff tonight and being all balls to the walls. she plays kind of fun, but it took getting used to being support.
Tyrande is catching a pretty big nerf in the next patch that’ll make her a bit harder to run as solo support. Bit rough because she’s my go-to support these days.
Chromie is actually the high skill cap hero Blizzard was pretending Li-Ming was (for some reason.)
Honestly, he damage might be a bit low for how hard it is to actually hit things, and boy does she get blown up if anyone jumps on her at all. I kind of regret spending the gold tbh.
A’nub’s rework seems a bit underwhelming, but I’ll give it a few more tries because I love him :o
