I only really watched day one but the main thread I got was that Tempo Storm Team Naventic got fucking shat on (something something Zuna feeding meme)
That was super disappointing because theyāve been a really fun team to watch the last few tournies. It was pretty cringy to see them play that bad. Cloud9 also played pretty bad, but at least they did it with goofy comps.
Naventic had exactly one good game the whole tournament, and they absolutely crushed Dignitas in that game. Infernal Shrines with McIntyre on Kerrigan. Good shit. They made Dig look like amateurs, and then promptly lost the next two games and were eliminated. Zuna definitely fed a lot, especially in game 3.
That was super good, I was excited to see Kerrigan again.

Lunara dies too quickly to burst, and ultimately people were too enamored with Xul, Sylvanas, and Zagara to pick another spec.
(Yeah Lunara isnāt technically a specialist, but functionally itās her role in the current meta)

Even then, Li Ming does siege better while having as much damage and can spec to make her harder to kill
Man I hope we get to see a tournament soon with Dehaka, the way he can rotate and counter rotations is crazy (or, alternatively, I canāt wait until we see first pick ban Dehaka to see how scared people are of it)
Dehaka is so nuts. Iām trying to have what fun I can until Blizzard halves his AOE damage. At which point heāll still be fun but maybe less idiotic.
itās funny that half the community sees Dehaka as UP or balanced and the other half is like ābroke as all hellā
He has a bit of a learning curve and Iāve played with some pretty bad Dehakas.
Actually, I havenāt played with a single good one, now that I think about it.
While Iām at it, itās pretty cool how many builds Li Ming has, if we have to see her in every game (I pick her in every Hero League game I can, also). I was pretty excited to see Force Push taken in every single MVP Black game on the final day.

I kinda want to give this game a shot on the weekend to try and get a better sense of How To Appreciate MOBA. Which characters are good for clueless babies?
I will give you some tiers based on ease of play
Easiest: Raynor, Li Li, Gall (if you have a friend who will play Cho)
Pretty easy: Valla, E.T.C., Muradin
Not too hard: Johanna, Rehgar, Li Ming
And hereās a few to definitely avoid if youāre looking for easy mechanics:
Hardest: Abathur, The Lost Vikings
Pretty damn hard: Rexxar, Zeratul
More difficult than most: Greymane, KaelāThas, Brightwing

Iād throw Brightwing on the list of hard characters just because she plays so different from everyone else.
Iām trying to level them Lost Vikings for gold and it is the worst.

The game has a try-out mode so you can mess with characters to get a feel for their skills and how the talents modify them
If youāre starting out, for the love of god, donāt play Abathur or the Vikings
I would say to lean towards ranged assassins because the majority of your job then is to not die and to kill and that should be an easy thing to grasp
Oh, before I forget, thereās an option in the settings to prioritize a server for matchmaking (US East, Central and West). You want to use that.
