so Iāve been messing around with hotslogs tracking the last few days
someone tell me that this shit isnāt very accurate, cause I know yall been boosting me and shit, but this says Iām platinum undrafted and diamond qm. thereās no way in hell Iām plat at anything, much less diamond. I donāt buy that for a second. how does this thing work. also how is QM mmr even a thing.
itās not very accurate unless you upload all of your games (or others upload all of the games you are in) - especially games played when your confidence was low
iām diamond qm too and I donāt think Iām amazing but I do know that the capacity for a qm team to throw is immeasurable

I got all my games uploaded so I guess Iām just a hots prodigy sent in from the matrix to destroy noobs
my win rates make no sense to me. I have like a 60% overall win rate on healers, which is better than any other role, but I almost never feel useful on a healer. I feel like I missplay every fight on them horribly. I play li ming and tracer and feel like Iām outplaying the shit out of people but I lose all of those games. I play like artanis and press W on CD and have a 70% win rate. I think my highest win rate assassin is jaina and I fucking know I suck at her.

Why would I be playing Uther when both Li Li and Auriel got damage buffs?

To be fair, when she first dropped you could put up Assassin DPS numbers if you built her for damage. She took a huge nerf and Blizz thought barely buffing her auto-attack made up for it lol
why not just play all three heroes on the same team?
Holy Shock Uther is legit a solo lane build, let the rest of the team roam with two healers and extra damage while he soaks a ton

Iāve been playing League of Legends with buddies about 3 times a week for the past few months (after a multi-year hiatus). Itās fun to approach a super complicated game and try and get better, but it feels like the games are long enough that itās really hard to practice or improve certain matchups, mechanics, etc if I canāt spend literally all my waking time playing it.
For the first third of the game, League lanes are pretty static, so individual champion v. champion matchups are super important. But I may only get to practice against a certain champion twice a month since we only get a couple games in a night.
Or like, if Iām playing a teamfight-centered champion there may only be one or two teamfights per game for me to practice my mechanics. And some subset of those fights arenāt terribly useful for improving because I did poorly in the laning portion of the game so Iām underpowered.
Iād like to get into HotS because I think the combination of shorter games and more dynamic lanes will make personal improvement faster/easier. Dunno how to convince my friends to switch, though.
