Didn’t see a thread for this yet. Looking forward to AC6.

I refuse to believe it’s possible to play any version of Arkanoid “quickly”, let alone the NES version.

Co-op KatAM will be nice.

TotK will get to showcase an utterly genius tutorial island route followed by 1 solid minute of literally falling into hell.

Rest I have no opinion about.

looking forward to a few runs, and depending on how awkward the commentary is, will be really happy if only one or two turn out to be really good, that’d be nice.

runs:

Goemon 2
Pikmin 4 maybe?
Goof Troop
Sneak King
Gravity Rush :flushed:
Lies of P

from early this morning alone i was a bit shocked to see LONG LIVE THE AXE get speedran, and i’m happy about that

also peaches, a guy i follow on twitch because he runs some weird games, played Typing of the Dead

also an original Clock Tower speedrun was late last night. all in all, a good start to the marathon

Tunic run is impressive if you’ve just seen it being played casually, probably even better if you thought you’re good at it.

this was a fun run. it’s a no damage run for the Resident Evil 2 remake on the hardest difficulty this guy thoroughly routed out that was genuinely tense throughout because of how difficult it was:

he’s been around a long time and i really liked his Resident Evil 7 run from i think AGDQ 2018. also both of the runners on the couch (esp KatLink) are horror runners i sometimes follow on twitch. anyway was def a good one

my favourite speedrun might be DKC, and my favourite hex editor is also DKC:

Armored Core 6 Any% True ending about to begin.

[EDIT]

Nevermind, seems they’re using an early patch so they can just power through it with twin shotguns. Guess I’ll go do something more entertaining, like my laundry.

Tails Adventure:

… this has been a legit release?!?!

:officersonic:

lots of bombs that Tails is stocking up there, uh… :tarothink:

(run’s quite entertaining - dipping into the lore, one level that’s played completely in the dark and only reference points are enemies and tiny visual clues + runner saved herself when it looked like she made an error) — one for the Soniccs among us.

That Magical Tetris Challenge run… talk about a gray hair inducer.

First surprise of this year, have never heard of it before, would never get good enough to run it casually, and just love the creative use of computer stuff for levels.

Thinking of why I find that one Undertale runner both entertaining and annoying… best way to describe it is that he has “Jim Carrey energy”.

A truly good run manages to survive janky commentary, and a brilliant run manages to thrive because of it.

It all comes down to what type of streamer commentary doesn’t make you wanna throw your TV out of the window, unfortunately the hyper-genki-gamer-style seems to have become somewhat of a default condition for getting runs in, so i usually take a look, skip in a bit and determine if it can pique my interest, then watch the whole thing.

Yeah, that was really lame.

Goof Troop co-op is nice, and makes me reconsider why i didn’t get too far in this :tarothink:

Zadette — … what?
