been playing this again
The new animals have been added to Pocket Camp, positively confirming that Sashaās a lazy boy, Petriās a snooty girl, and Marlo is a straight-up The Godfather reference. I canāt wait to see his poster in New Horizons.
anybody got a spot on their switch family plan i could paypal a couple bucks for? i wanna do custom patterns and nooklink again when the update hits but not 20$ worth
Afraid I havenāt got a family plan, but I do have news: theyāre saying this is live now. Apparently the expansion isnāt yet triggering, but 2.0 is in effect.
I was just thinking of buying one but I donāt think it works cross border
I have a family plan I could get you on, but I havenāt bought the expansion pack and am still debating if Iām going to, so there is that. But otherwise, I can get you on it I think.
No thatās perfect. I just literally want online. Iām getting the DLC and I couldnāt justify the price of that AND NSO. Iāll PM you.
there is so much i gotta get. the more i go through the new items the more ideas i get. this is out of control (even though ā9000ā is stretch considering they just mean every color variation of everything including photo frames or whatever)
with all the gyroids and food and what not iām definitely rearranging my island for some farmland
you can actually store DIY cards in storage now which would have been usefulā¦a year ago?
fascinating that the recipe system gives you a new reason to catch fish. canāt believe i was trying to get sea bass on purpose!
first person view in the museum is lovely
all food has been tagged as edible now so you can just chow down on a full plate of russian potato salad or pompopurin pudding wherever now
i thought the animals randomly visting would be fun but itā a little stressful when youve got stuff to do, hahaha
havenāt even touched the happy home paradise stuff yet cuz thereās so much to do even for a non time traveler like myself
ohhhhhh shit
Yeah, I prioritized crafting the storage shed and ABD in large part to minimize having to enter buildings, particularly so I donāt get caught entertaining guests when I was just trying to drop off extra crafting materials. Iām a little disappointed that the ABD only gives you access to your banked Bell balance; you still need to go by Resident Services for your daily Nook Miles check-in, but now I can at least deposit my profits after selling junk without having to run halfway across the island.
My stockpiled Nook miles are thoroughly depleted from ordering all the new stuff in the ABD catalogs, so now I have to grind for miles before making my daily trips with Kappān. The island we visited on Wednesday was pretty tame, although it had plenty of vines. Last nightās voyage added a bunch of plumeria bushes and glowing moss, along with a recipe for a glowing rock pond.
DLC content went live around 11pm Central time last night, so I went through the opening and first house design. I loved the idea of the Happy Home game on DS, but it felt lopsided in practice. This version corrects the lopsidedness by letting you get paid and gives you stuff to bring back to the main game.
Oh, and if you havenāt seen it, the Nintendo Online app has a newspaper feature that documents events in your town now:
Ah hell new plants and ponds? Just when I think Iām out they drag me back
Kinda regretting nuking my island, since I could be building storage sheds and whatnot, but instead owe Papa Nook a few million for my basement. Ah well!
Playedā¦god, like, maybe several hours of the Happy Home Paradise stuff. I gotta unlearn the mindset of cramming as much shit as possible into every possible space, against the walls (in real life too but I can practice here), but I did really like the first house I set up.
Also you know I grabbed as many vines as I could and slung those suckers all over my cliffs. Not for aesthetic, just cheaper than building more stairs/ladders.
Thereās so much new stuff and Iāve been too busy with the new camera over the last couple days to check out anything else!
went on a kappān boat ride around 1 pm today, and i was taken to this night time island full of rare star fragments everywhere. there were also a ton of shooting stars in the sky, but they unfortunately did not manifest themselves either here or back on my home island. maybe i can check again tomorrow.
before 2.0 i had this desire to find a use for every single item and that was driving my design sense but the sheer amount of new items and the ability to make things in HHP has mostly erased that from me. So many things that I had makeshift versions of have real ones now: cars, pizza, cash registers, greenhouses, castle walls itās really interesting to come back and have to make decisions about what I theoretically āreallyā wanted things to look like or if prefer the charm of sticker world. The new āusefulā Isabelle who will always at least tell you about the person on the island instead of personal anecdotesā¦I like that she does that but they could have written her more lines, too. Reese and Cyrus being able to customize almost everything has me rethinking every single little theme. They can even do a lot of the one off holidays stuff like the carnivale items that needed feathers. Having it all at my fingertips instead of having to find a trade is very interesting although my soda machine quest in 1.0 was very fun. All the new items and DIYS have me actually playing like looking for ballons, shaking trees, doing the recipe rounds, itās wild stuff.
Last night I had to design some sort of āToilet Refugeā for a nasty ass lion, so that was fun. It was also the house that finally taught me how to do partition walls, so now I gotta go ham with those.
just checked this morning: if you wish on shooting stars during a kappān trip, the fragments do appear on your beach the next day. pretty sure iāve gotten more star fragments today than i have in the last year.
Seems like every user gets their own separate instance of Happy Home Paradise with infinite plots so that seems nice since we couldnāt make our own actual separate islands
