Yeah I hit that not too long ago and now sometimes forget to check the Nook Miles terminal (which, to be fair, hasn’t really had anything new for me to get in a while).
I’ve had bad luck with DIYs lately. Lotta recipes calling for flowers, or colors of flowers I don’t have. But I got a pretty slick recipe for a bamboo lunchbox. If anyone wants a nice little picnic set mailed their way, lemme know.
Finally got to the point where I’m satisfied with my island topography, so I shouldn’t need to break out the island designer tools again until they add more construction projects for us. Apologies for the phone camera, but I have no wifi at work:
By my reckoning, that layout includes six major landscape features♤ which I have stolen from folks online without remorse or shame, and another four♡ that I came up with myself or at least cannot remember previously encountering. Next stop: flower mastery.

That’s my orchard. I like to stagger my trees a bit, but they’re too close together for me to bother with searching the area for fossils or weeds, so each tree has a ring of wood or brick tiles to prevent random spawning.
Just south of the orchard is the museum, surrounded by waterfalls; to the west is my tribute to karst topography, which hides a path to the secret beach.
Update: The turnip recession continues to decimate my town’s fragile economy. Bianca, the preppy fashionista tiger, is the latest to sport the trademark turnip sack attire that may as well be my town’s uniform in these uncertain times:
