Salt And Sanctuary was well run, but the Any% takes the cake for how much of a train wreck it got and completely out of the hands of the runner. I was losing it by how much the game refused to cooperate.

i have this game and loved it! i played it for years on Kali as a teenager
i have always been a nerd.
even if you don’t play it, i highly recommend you check out the redbook audio soundtrack because it’s some wild techno-punk (the midi soundtrack is a completely different tone and yes the game had two separate soundtracks because i don’t even know why)
Just sat down to watch this! Happened to catch Half-Life Blue Shift, or Blue Wait, as someone in chat called it. Half-Life games sure have a lot of waiting around for stuff to happen in them.
Next is nuDOOM, which I’m really pumped about
i like some of the newer OOB tech they’ve figured out in new doom
also appreciate that Doomguy still has the ability to press switches through walls. some things never change.

yeah the out of bounds stuff is insane. the invisible walls you have to memorize! half way through the run I was thinking I might not recommend this one because of the jump/boost/skip that didn’t work out for so many tries but then the BFG trick came up and I was laughing so hard. So I do recommend this run if you’ve never seen what kind of crazy skips you can do in nuDOOM. Just don’t expect a lot of gunplay! The skips turn the game into a crazy, psychedelic platformer

man, the awful games block sure is entertaining. highlights so far are Batman Forever and Timecop; very good!

WATCH IT. Most intense run. The guy is so nervous, the music is fast paced, the movement is… diagonal!!!
It’s one of those runs that if you have played the game before and know how bullshit everything is, it is a lot more impressive.
I was non-plussed. It also didn’t help that I didn’t particularly like the runner either. Still, it is a good recommendation for other people.
Hot Take: 2D Sonics are terrible (live) speed games.

My personal highlight of the entire thing so far is Batman taking a chainsaw to his junk

somehow the SONIC block(s) often end up in slots where I can catch them, and that’s cool.
